The flavours that came through on the first nose to me was of fresh cut melon with vanilla hues.
On the first slurp it oozes crisp juicy yet soft in the mouth tropical fruit flavours with subtle hints of vanilla. Not a strong chardonnay flavour so a good mix of grapes for my palate.
Chilean wine is known for its pure fruit flavours, with its reliable Mediterranean climate an ideal grape growing, also its good value for money, this wine is no exception.
Rush out now to Sainsbury’s and stock up on this wine as it will save for parties or for enjoyment now. It is one of the best offers I have seen for a while and I will be recommending it to all my friends. 9/10 from me !
The bottle is very eye catching on the shelf with the orange top and there is some interesting information on the label on the back of the bottle. “The grapes have been cultivated under the 35th line of latitude South in Chile’s wild Southern region.”
It is suggested that this good value easy drinking wine is best drunk with seafood, pasta and chicken and I would agree wholly.
I got some of this when it was on offer last week. Went back today with a lorry and it was back at 7.99 a bottle!
