A new World Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, from the sunny central valley, wow, what a wine.
This is an energetic, ideal summertime sipper which is very refreshing. It has all the qualities that a Sauvignon Blanc should have stimulating your taste buds and has palate cleansing acidity.
I came up with lots of words to describe the sensation in the mouth when drinking this wine, fresh cut grass with a slight hint of gooseberry and lemon and lime. I also found a novel way of keeping it cool whilst sat in the garden as you can see.
The labelling was a little basic and as you sometimes buy with your eye, perhaps making the label more eye catching would get more sales. As my friend said…..
“ A significant wine in an insignificant bottle”.
At 13% it is a strong white wine but not sharp enough to make your mouth pucker. It can be enjoyed on it’s own but can also withstand being drunk with food and although the label says serve with lightly flavoured dishes I would recommend seafood cooked in lemon, or maybe even Spicy South East Asian or Chinese cuisine.
This is a wine I would definitely keep in the fridge well chilled for when friends come round, it oozes crispness and is good value, and therefore I give this a rating of 8/10.
In my opinion a great Chilean wine – a star of the Summer! Sit back and enjoy.
