This is a medium dry white wine from France. Having put my nose right into the glass I immediately got citrus tones. The colour was a beautiful pale citrine colour.

The immediate flavour in the mouth is an almost sweet sensation of marzipan and for those of you who remember the 70’s Kali Sherbet.

Coming from the Languedoc region of France, known for its inexpensive table wine, I found this wine to be of good quality and the price represented this well.

I would rate this as a 7/10 for being an easy drinking crisp Southern French wine which evoked the scents of lemons and flowers. I wish I was in France eating a lovely Chicken Fricassee or some large prawns. I can visualise it now sitting under a red and white awning of a pavement café, watching the old men playing a game of boules amongst the almond trees with the blossom blowing in the breeze.

This wine is made of a combination of traditional grape varieties grown in between the historic towns of Carcassonne and Beziers.

The label has an understated simplistic floral design and tones of green which match the green bottle. On the back there is a map which shows clearly which region this lovely wine comes from.

This is a lovely fresh fruity smooth wine which served chilled could take Centre stage on its own or be drunk with foods.
