Marlborough Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2008

I’ve been enjoying this wine over the last two nights. In fact I’ve really been enjoying a few different New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs over the last couple of months. I’ve heard it said that you can get fed up of them after a while but not me and for now I’m really enjoying the fruity, zingy flavours.

This one like most New Zealand wines is a screwcap and weighs in at 12.5% It’s a delicious zesty, citrus, crisp dry wine which works for me on it’s own and last night we had it with a chicken dish which worked nicely too. The current Majestic offer means it was just £4.99 when you buy 2 bottles which is a great deal on a really reliable bottle.

Tasted just as good on the second night which was a relief!

A very intense elderflower aroma, quite wonderful.
The flavour is lemony but not too zesty, nice but perhaps slightly too inoffensive.
Good value for £4.99 special offer.
